Sunday Service Online – Ingathering

Pocatello Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hold our annual ingathering service on Sunday via Zoom. The tradition behind this service is the idea that autumn is a time to gather together after a summer of individual journeys. The Water Ceremony, or sometimes called Water Communion, is an opportunity to share our experiences and to renew our commitment to one another and to the Fellowship and its aspirations.

Though the service is fully online, everyone is invited to bring a small sample of water from their summer travels (or one that represents those travels symbolically) to pour into a common vessel. Reverend Jenny Peek will be at the UU Meeting House at 426 West Lewis Friday, September 17, 8:30am – 12:30pm, to collect water to use on Sunday, or you can pour and share remotely.

We had hoped to be able to meet in person but renewed danger from Covid-19 variants will prevent that. Coordinators for the service will be Brian Attebery and Mark Neiwirth. Longtime members and newcomers are equally welcome. Come and share your thoughts and experiences as we celebrate our virtual return. Join us Sunday via Zoom.
