Transgender Day of Remembrance, Friday November 20th, 6pm.
Transgender Day of Remembrance began in 1999, the year following the murder of Rita Hester, to remember and raise awareness of the violence people who are transgender endure throughout the nation and the world. Pocatello UU Fellowship holds a memorial service as part of a continued global effort to remember transgender people whose lives have ended in violence. Until the violence ends, we remember and we say their names.
Note: As this service lands on third Friday this year, we are canceling game night “Fun in Fellowship”, with sincere apologies.
