Summer Series begins – This Summer Series will include short services with time for quiet reflection, sharing on the day’s topic, and perhaps some music. Florence Nightingale is remembered for providing compassionate nursing care including improving sanitary conditions during the Crimean war. She was responsible for the hospital reform that gives us the sanitary conditions we have today. Her social activism and radical theology was typical of other Unitarian Universalists, and included work on women’s rights.
