Our Children’s Program is gearing up for a wonderful year!
A collaborative effort of the Pocatello UU Fellowship and the Portneuf Sangha and Meditation Center, our secular-friendly Children’s Program is held at the Pocatello UU Fellowship (426 W Lewis), which is just west of the Portneuf Sangha in the same building. Both have entrances facing Lewis Street.
Children’s Program offers age appropriate opportunities to engage in three broad concepts: respect for self and others; critical thinking skills; and foundational strategies for naming and expressing feelings and thoughts.
Children enjoy story time, mindfulness meditation practice, yoga, and secular-friendly learning about religious or cultural practices around the world.
Our teacher is Rev. Jenny Peek (she/her) of the Pocatello UU Fellowship. Every session is led by the teacher and volunteers who have undergone a background check with the Idaho State Police.
Weekly sessions begin Sunday, September 13th, at 10:45am and run for 45 minutes. Enrollment is ongoing throughout the school year, meaning you can enroll your child anytime, space permitting. Children may not be dropped off without a completed enrollment form. Forms are available online here: https://forms.gle/yE6SbwHMmDBd7Ah49 A few print copies will be available onsite.
